Permissions
Principle
Edit restrictions can be configured based on three criterion: Issue status, User role and User custom field.
We apply an OR condition between User permissions (User role and User custom field) then a AND condition between User permissions and Issue permission (Issue status).
Above screenshot shows a concrete example where Elements Checklist panel will only be editable if :
→ issue is in status "In progress" or "To Do"
→ and the current user has the role "Service Desk Team"
→ or the current user is assigned to "Employee" custom field.
Issue status
By selecting statuses, you can make the panel read-only or editable based on the status of the issue.
If the option is left empty, no restrictions will be applied on this criteria.
User role
JIRA SERVER ONLY
Edit permission can be granted to particular users based on their role.
If the option is left empty, no restrictions will be applied on this criteria.
User custom field
Edit permission can also be granted to particular users based on user custom fields values (works also with Elements Connect user custom field).
If the option is left empty, no restrictions will be applied on this criteria.
