Licensing update for Data Center customers

From Elements Connect version 6.13.0 onwards, the Elements Connect app will become read-only for inactive licenses

What does this mean for me?

In accordance with Atlassian’s licensing policy, any Connect fields configured in your Jira instances will become read-only when the Elements Connect license becomes inactive from Elements Connect version 6.13.0 onwards when the maintenance period of your Data Center license expires. This means you will no longer be able to edit Connect field values on your Jira issues.

Rest assured, existing values will be displayed.

When is an Elements Connect license considered inactive?

An Elements Connect license is deemed inactive in the following cases:

  • When a paid or evaluation Data Center license has not been renewed (the maintenance period has expired)

  • When an Elements Connect license is not licensed (it has been uninstalled or deactivated for example)

  • When the release date of the Elements Connect installed version is later than the end of the maintenance date of a Jira Server licence. If you have a Server license with an active maintenance period, you will still be able to install Elements Connect versions that were released before or during the course of this maintenance period. However you won’t be able to install Elements Connect versions that were released after the end of the Jira Server maintenance period. This is in accordance with Atlassian’s Server end of support policy.
