Everything you should know about migration to cloud is gathered in this section. We We aim to offer a smooth migration journey for all our customers.

At Elements, we're fully committed to making your path from Server / Data Center to Cloud as seamless as possible.

Elements Spreadsheet is available on Confluence Cloud. Migration from Server/Data Center to Cloud is fully supported by Confluence cloud migration assistant add-on and does not require any additional steps.

Migration Path

When migrating your Confluence spaces to Cloud using the native Atlassian tool, just make sure that your .scc attachments are included in the migration. These attachments are where your Spreadsheet data is saved. All you need to know about migration process is describe through Atlassian dedicated documentation.

Once your Confluence migration is done, you will instantly be able to resume your work in Elements Spreadsheet, exactly where you left it.

Important to note:

Through Confluence cloud, macros can be created by directly typing "/spreadsheets". However, for the moment, spaces migrated keep the same behavior than Server / Data center. It means that macros creation is available by typing "{spreadsheets".

If you have any doubt or question contact our support team. We'll assist you in your migration.

Features

Elements Spreadsheet offers almost the same features on Confluence Cloud as on Server/Data Center. Below, find an exhaustive list of available features according to both platforms:

Spreadsheet macros creation from Confluence global templates

The only gaps are:

  • the possibility to nest Confluence charts macro with Elements Spreadsheet;
  • adding Spreadsheet macros to global templates: as the management of attached files is not available from global templates, it directly impacts the use of Spreadsheet which is stored as an attached file. This has been already tracked under Atlassian support through this issue.

We are still working on these topics to find out potential solutions in order to fill gaps between cloud and server / data center offers.
