Some Confluence pages become unresponsive or Spreadsheet macros fail to run

Scenario

Some customers may find that some pages containing Spreadsheet macros become unresponsive, hanging with an out of memory error. In some cases, customers may fail to edit Spreadsheet macros on such pages, which throw a 409 conflict in the browser’s console.

This issue occurs:

• from Confluence version 7.13.0 and later

• on pages where a Spreadsheet macro and a code block coexist

Troubleshooting

Remove the code block macro from the unresponsive pages.
