Do I need to take action on April 1st?

No. All existing customers will automatically remain on the Standard edition, so no action is required.

Will the Standard edition still receive updates?

Absolutely. The Standard edition remains our core offering and will continue to receive:

  • product improvements

  • new features

  • bug fixes

  • standard support

However, the most advanced "Scale" and "Governance" innovations will be focused on the Advanced tier.

When should I consider the Advanced edition?

You may benefit from Advanced if you:

  • need to perform bulk actions

  • run many synchronization workflows

  • connect multiple Jira instances

  • collaborate with external organizations

  • need higher scaling limits

  • require advanced governance or security features

I don’t see any “new” features in the Advanced Edition yet. Why should I upgrade now?

Upgrading now gives you immediate access to Priority Support (4h SLA) and vastly higher technical limits. Additionally, you are securing your place on a roadmap focused on delivering more powerful and advanced features later this year.

If I move to Advanced, do I have to re-do my whole configuration?

Not at all. The transition is seamless. All your current configuration and data will remain exactly as they are. Upgrading simply unlocks higher limits and new functionality. No migration or re-installation are required.

I only need one feature from the Advanced Edition. Why do I have to pay for the whole tier?

While the Advanced Edition is a bundle of our most powerful tools, it is designed to provide a comprehensive “scale, governance and security” package. By grouping these features together, we can offer a integrated experience where they work hand-in-hand for a complete compliance solution.

If I upgrade to Advanced for the 4h SLA, is that for every ticket ?

Your improved SLA applies to all your support requests. Advanced Edition customers are placed in our “Priority Queue”, ensuring that whether you have a quick question or a technical blocker, our experts get back to you with priority handling compared to the Standard tier.

Why are you introducing these tiers now?

As the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem matures, the needs of our customers have diverged. Many require tools for small projects, while others need infrastructure for thousands of users. These editions allow us to serve both: keeping Standard simple and affordable, while building a powerhouse for Enterprise users in Advanced Edition.
