Migration FAQ

What is your app trial policy for Cloud?

You can try Elements Connect on Cloud for 30 days. If you questions about your evaluation period, contact our support team.

Is it possible to migrate the fields (data and configuration) using Jira Cloud Migration Assistant (JCMA)?

Elements Connect can’t be migrated directly with Jira Cloud Migration Assistant.

For now:

Is it mandatory to create my cloud configuration before the migration?

It isn't, but we strongly recommend to follow the steps mention in our migration hub for a smooth and successful migration. In fact, there are multiple reason for which we encourage you to create the configuration before the migration.

  • Try the app on the Cloud to better understand how it works

  • Check the feature parity and make sure your use case will covered

  • The most important part is to confirm how the field will be configured on Cloud so you prepare your Data center data for migration and that’s mean:

    • Copy the right data from Connect Data Center to be migrated

    • Make sure that the created field on Cloud will allow you to populate the copied data into it

What are the main differences between the app’s functions in DC/server vs Cloud?

Check out the “Migration Planning” section as well as the Feature Parity comparison to understand the differences as you migrate.

It’s very important to perform the “Migration Planning” ahead of time to be well prepared for your migration.

How can I know if I can reproduce my Server/DC use case on Cloud?

If you still have questions about reproducing your use case after consulting our Migration Hub, our support team will be happy to help you
